IS THERE A LIFE INSTRUCTION MANUAL?
You came here most likely via Twitter or Facebook
SOMETHING DREW YOU HERE. A HURT. A NEED. A DESIRE.
Or simply CURIOUS as to the question.
Let's start with a SMILE to make a point.
You may have 'heard this one', yet for sure not in this context.
There were 4 people on an airplane.
One was the Pilot. The other 3 were passengers.
One of the passengers was a Blended Family Coach.
Another passenger was a Boy Scout.
The last passenger was a fairly solid 'needs no one' cocky guy who
BOLDLY STATED he was the 'Smartest Man in the World.'
The plane was flying pretty high up but it started to have engine trouble
and was going down. It was clear the plane was going to crash.
Unfortunately, there were only 3 parachutes on the plane
and 4 people including the pilot.
The pilot ran out of the cockpit, put on one of the parachutes
and jumped out of the plane yelling,
“Geronimo”! (Hmmm....we are NOT talking Leadership here with that guy)
So now there are three people left on the plane and only 2 parachutes.
Then the (his words) "Smartest Man in the World" said,
“I’m the Smartest Man in the world, the world needs my great intellect”.
And he grabs a parachute and jumps out of the plane and yells, “Eureka”!
(Smartest is not always the most likeable)
Now the Blended Family Coach turns to the Boy Scout, and he says,
”Son, I’ve lived a long life and I’m ready to meet the Lord so Son,
I want you to take the last parachute!"
But the Boy Scout says...
“Mister, relax, the 'Smartest Man in the World'
just jumped out of this plane with my backpack on”!
Do you get it?
This kind of thing happens a lot in stepfamily dynamics, marriages and family.
A selfish or 'smart' (self described) person may end up 'grabbing' at the wrong thought, idea or 'parachute'
and end up totally opposite of what's good for them, their family and future peace of mind.
We suggest if in a divorce, single parent, stepfamily situation you do things according to the Bible.
The 'ALL TIME BEST SELLER and LIFE INSTRUCTION MANUAL'.
Marriage in stepfamily success research show utilizing God’s wisdom
- instead of the world’s wisdom -
can deliver...with 92% assurance
(there are always 8% knuckleheads) success. Easy...NO. Worth it...YES.
It may seem foolish to some at the time but in the long run you will find out God’s wisdom
was right and the wisdom of the world’s smartest people was wrong.
Statistically, even amongst the worlds research experts, and what we've seen,
God and His WISDOM in the BIBLE is the timeless and truly THE BEST WAY
for a stepfamily to go ...
